He has Performed in World Music Festival, Russia 2004 and has travelled all over India and abroad. He is a disciple of Ust. Shujaat H. Khan (Sitar Maestro), LT. Rajesh Moitro (eminent Sarod player) and cousin Chand Mukherjee. He has received an award from Ministry of Culture, Sahitya Kala Parishad.
